NeuerEnergy will demonstrate how it can help cities drive change by reducing the carbon footprint of the built environment using its net zero platform.
At NeuerEnergy, we are dedicated to decarbonising urban areas, responsible for 70 per cent of global CO2 emissions. We specialise in reducing the carbon footprint of the built environment through our comprehensive net zero platform. Collaboration with cities, municipalities, and councils is crucial for driving impactful change and achieving our shared goal of a safer, greener world. The Smart Cities Climate Action Summit enables us to connect with stakeholders, understand the challenges cities and urban areas face, and enhance our solutions. By leveraging cutting-edge technology and fostering close partnerships, we aim to develop effective strategies for sustainable urban transformation.
At this year’s summit, we will showcase how to simplify urban decarbonisation projects by leveraging cutting edge technology and innovative solutions. Drawing from our extensive experience working with governments and local authorities, we will demonstrate how to construct sustainable futureproof urban landscapes. By reviewing the primary challenges our clients were facing, attendees will gain insights into overcoming obstacles in the pursuit of sustainability. Discover how to optimise data management, implement resilient decarbonisation pathways, and utilise cutting edge technology. Our presentation includes a demonstration of our net zero planning tool, empowering cities and businesses to streamline their optimal sustainability trajectory.

Our primary objective at this year’s Summit is to delve deeper into the unique pain points and evolving needs of urban environments in their sustainability efforts. Through collaborative discussions and presentations, we anticipate we will uncover valuable insights and gain a nuanced understanding of the intricate challenges our cities are encountering today. This will empower us to refine our approach and solutions for maximum impact in driving positive change towards a more sustainable future for all.
Cities should focus on improving data-gathering and analysis to allow evidence-based decisions, targeting interventions where they are most needed and effective. There is not a one-size-fits-all sustainability solution, as every city is unique with its own environmental, governmental, social, economical and technological blend.
Robust data systems allow cities to understand their distinct set of challenges, needs, strengths and opportunities, to build tailored climate solutions, monitor their effectiveness and optimise resources for greater positive impact. However, inter and outer city collaboration is essential to ensure climate justice. Governments need to strengthen renewable energy transition policies, heavily invest in the appropriate low carbon technologies, and encourage a circular economy.
An impressive example of tailored climate action is in Reykjavik. The city is fully powered by renewable energy, mostly sourced from hydroelectric dams built on glacial rivers. Another successful smart city project is Copenhagen’s ambitious cycling infrastructure, where more than half of Copenhagen’s residents use bicycles daily for commuting, which is facilitated by over 350km of dedicated bike lanes.
