FutureCraft Open Source Habitats Logo

The Digital Housing Commons is an initiative of the FutureCraft Foundation and FutureCraft Open Source Habitats. FutureCraft enables governments, companies, and citizens to build better and cheaper buildings faster - by leveraging digital, open, free, and accessible technologies.

The FutureCraft platform is completely free to use and generates AI-enabled, open-source, interoperable, and machine-readable construction files for nature-based, SDG-driven buildings that can be locally produced in factories around the world.

The platform and related programmes are funded by ETS trading the carbon content of the constructive wood. Revenue is shared with the global creative value chain. IP is governed by cities and regions worldwide.

Working with hundreds of cities, communities, and regions on all continents over the next years, we are building the world’s first repository of free, open-source, production-ready, interoperable digital twins for constructing climate-positive affordable houses and neighbourhoods - The Digital Housing Commons.
