Buenois Aires is both the capital and largest city of Argentina, and the seventh-largest city in South America. There is a population of approximately 3 million in the city, but over 15 million in the wider metro area. Quality of life is one of the highest in South America, and the city is a popular tourist destination. The city has been ranked as an alpha world city by the Globalization and World Cities Research Network.
