In reality economic growth needs to enable the delivery of city level, public resources such as transport, education, and housing. This involves equipping cities to be environments for sustainable growth while also ensuring that the growth that does take place is beneficial to the whole city.

 

This paper, produced by the RTPI, argues that planning has a key role to play in ensuring not only that the conditions are in place for the flourishing of tech and AM, but also that the benefits of the accompanying growth are spread across the local economy.
