Building cyber-resilient cities: technology, people, and processes
The risk of cyber threats looms larger than ever before as cities around the world become smarter and better connected. Cities today are facing frequent ransomware attacks that disrupt public services, data breaches that expose sensitive information of citizens and businesses, and denial-of-service attacks that overload network resources and impair critical infrastructure. These cyber threats can have severe consequences for the safety, privacy, and wellbeing of urban citizens, as well as the economic and social development of cities.
This panel discussion at the Smart City Expo World Congress, hosted by Paradox Engineering, will delve into the critical components of cybersecurity in urban environments, focusing on technology, people, and processes. Together, an expert panel will explore how cities can enhance their digital security frameworks through robust technological measures, comprehensive employee education, and well-defined procedural responses to cyber threats. Attendees will gain insights into best practices, real-world challenges, and innovative solutions to make cities more cyber-resilient.
