Libelium wants to speed up IoT adoption by offering partners special services and benefits

Libelium's new Cloud Partner Programme focuses on offering interoperability to build cloud services

The Internet of Things (IoT) company Libelium is boosting its interoperability by improving its cloud partner programme as well as expanding its partner ecosystem. The IoT company is also using Mobile World Congress taking place in Barcelona this week to present a number of solutions focusing on areas such as green cities and flood prevention.

The company is launching a new programme to provide business opportunities, technical support and marketing benefits to its network of 36 certified cloud partners. It includes offering interoperability with the Meshlium IoT Gateway to build cloud-based services.

“The best way to speed up the IoT adoption is offering our partners special services and benefits to create new business development opportunities together and to gain visibility and wider presence in a very fragmented market. Now we have a complete programme that meets our partners’ needs”, stated Alicia Asín, Libelium CEO.

Meanwhile it is expanding its partner ecosystem by adding compatibility with Arrow Electronics, Haibu Smart Cloud, a horizontal IoT Platform, and Labeeb, an IoT applications enablement platform.

It has also packaged a number of new solutions which are ready to be deployed in kit form available in The IoT Marketplace. The kits are direct translations from market needs and the result of leveraging the wide ecosystem of the company. The Marketplace, launched one year ago, now features 50 products packaged to accelerate the easy adoption of the IoT which include:

  • Green Cities Solution Kit, designed by Smartis with Libelium and which includes a sound level sensor and dust particle matter;
  • Ensura C&C has new three IoT solutions in the marketplace: a Flood Prevention Solution Kit, which monitors water flows to provide an early warning system to prevent floods or other natural disasters; and a Smart Security Solution Kit that enables security, defence, and first responder forces to manage situations in real-time. The company has also worked on a development kit to program any kind of solution based on EnsuraC&C Cloud;
  • BaseN has worked on a Smart Golf Solution Kit to manage golf courses in terms of maintenance needs, player volumes and service information for users about weather and other environmental conditions;
  • Hirisens has launched a Smart Parking Sigfox Solution Kit with Libelium technology that has been tested in Spain’s Basque Country with more than 70 nodes deployed.

Libelium will be presenting the Cloud Programme at Mobile World Congress at stand 8.0F9 in the IoT Pavilion (Hall 8).
