CITIES CLIMATE ACTION CAMPAIGN
Advancing the sub-national climate action agenda
The Cities Climate Action Campaign, created by SmartCitiesWorld, seeks to galvanise city leaders, local and sub-national governments, as well as the stakeholders around them, to provide leading insight, best practice, and opportunities to collaborate in order to effectively tackle the climate emergency.
Getting cities ready for action
Since the launch of SmartCitiesWorld in 2016, we have seen the impact of climate change move up cities' agenda to becoming one of the most critical challenges that city leaders face today. Our coverage in this area increased over the years to reflect the appetite for not just information on the subject but the need to help cities share best practice and ideas.
With SmartCitiesWorld's position as a central information hub for local and sub-national governments of all sizes, supported by an extensive network of partners, the Cities Climate Action Campaign presents challenge-oriented and outcome-based intelligence for those on the frontline of climate action. Through exclusive research and events, the campaign combines the knowledge and expertise of the SmartCitiesWorld team with that of our globally-renowned partners and extensive member network to surface real world solutions to near-and long-term climate resilience challenges.

Just some of the quotes that City Halls gave us:
"Cities shouldn’t wait for a new optimal technology to emerge in the future to get started because there are already so many ways to get started off the shelf."
Björn Hugosson, Chief Climate Officer, City of Stockholm
"The importance is working with other levels of government, communities and the private
sector as we just can’t do it alone."
Lord Mayor Sally Capp, City of Melbourne
