The countdown to Smart City Expo World Congress has begun and SmartCitiesWorld will once again be in attendance for a eighth year running. We are continuing our highly successful programme of Roundtable Discussions which will be taking place on Wednesday 8 November in the iconic Porta Fira Hotel directly opposite the expo centre.

 

This event is a chance for SmartCitiesWorld members and expo delegates to get together with like-minded people to discuss the topics of the day.

 

You’ll be able to choose between three different discussion topics:

 

1.   Citizen experience and safety (scene setter from City of Kyiv)

2.   Operational efficiency and cost effectiveness

3.   Sustainability (scene setter from City of Tallinn)

 

The Workshop event is a closed room, invitation only event for delegates working for Cities, local or regional authorities.  All registrations are reviewed by our team to ensure public sector relevance and we’ll advise if your seat at the event is approved or not

Biography:

Jesse leads the Mayor's Office of Innovation that is helping modernize the way the City serves its people. Prior to his current role, Jesse served in various capacities for the City’s executive office, as an Operations Analyst and Assistant Chief of Staff to Mayor Bill White, and more recently as a Liaison to Tax Increment Reinvestment Zones (TIRZ) in Mayor Parker’s Office of Economic Development.

 

He is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and led many successful projects across the City resulting in measurable increases in service quality and efficiency. Jesse received his Master of Business Administration from the University of Houston and his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Studies from the University of St. Thomas

Mark-Emil supports the development and piloting of new solutions at the City of Tallinn. He is focussed on finding the right people in the city organization for implementing pilots and assessing their usefulness.  He also works to find suitable locations for implementing pilots from the urban environment and streets.
